Leeds Star Finally Gets The Recognition He Deserves But Where’s…

|

Eyebrows were raised when the EFL confirmed the official Championship Team of the Season for the 2018/19 campaign as although Liam Cooper and Kalvin Phillips featured, Pablo Hernandez was notably missed out.

Leeds United fans weren’t slow to point that out either.

On Wednesday afternoon, the Professional Footballers Association named their Team for the campaign, and they weren’t going to make the same mistake.

The team selected features Liam Cooper, Pablo Hernandez and Pontus Jansson, but no doubt, there will be those asking about the omission of Phillips in this one.

Full team:

Darren Randolph (Middlesbrough), Max Aarons (Norwich City), Liam Cooper (Leeds United), Pontus Jansson (Leeds United), Jamal Lewis (Norwich City), Jack Grealish (Aston Villa), Oliver Norwood (Sheffield United), Pablo Hernandez (Leeds United), Billy Sharp (Sheffield United), Tammy Abraham (Aston Villa).

With Pablo having 12 goals and 12 assists to his name this year, it’s certainly worthy recognition, and I’m sure everyone agrees with his inclusion here.
