Pontus Jansson has been away with his partner giving birth but now that the baby has finally arrived, it looks as though the Swede will soon be back in action.

The defender has been close to his best again this season after last year’s struggles and you have to say that Marcelo Bielsa’s arrival has helped ensure that that’s been the case.

It looks as though he’ll be back in contention for the Ipswich game tomorrow, then, but he might only be ready enough to start on the bench.

Bielsa told the media earlier on today in his pre-match press conference:

It’ll have been a rather stressful time for Pontus of late but now that the baby has arrived he can surely start thinking once more about his football.

Bielsa will clearly want to try and rest him but, if needed, the squad looks set to be boosted by the Swede’s presence.
