With Leeds United linked with a move for Swansea City winger Daniel James earlier in the week, it’s now been reported that we have turned our attention to Bristol City’s Callum O’Dowda.
Yorkshire Evening Post Journalist believes that James remains our top priority or favoured option, but for whatever reason we have also identified the 23-year-old Republic of Ireland international as suitable backup as we look to strengthen the group to bolster manager Marcelo Bielsa’s Championship promotion hopes in the season of 2018/19.
Fans will certainly be boosted given it seems that Victor Orta’s plans are now warming up as it’s expected that 32-year-old stopper Kiko Casilla will sign an 18-month deal later today, after yesterday’s medical. And now with interest in James, that we are also progressing O’Dowda to keep our options open and provide cover.
I understand Leeds are looking into Bristol City winger Callum O’Dowda as an option as they pursue a new winger #lufc

In football you should never put all your eggs in one basket and having options means we won’t be held to ransom on either transfer fee or personal terms, and that can only be a good thing.
