Leeds Skipper Reacts To Positive Bielsa News

|

With yesterday’s confirmation that manager Marcelo Bielsa had accepted the second year option being taken up after talks with the Leeds United Board, fans were naturally delighted given how close our little genius came to taking us back into the top flight.

It also provides clarity for the club and the playing staff as we look to tweak things this summer in the transfer window to strengthen the group for what we all hope will be a second, but successful, bite of the cherry next year in the second tier and continuity can reap its own rewards as plenty of sides have shown before when tasting promotion disappointment, but bouncing back and using the experience as an additional motivation to get it right the campaign after.

Skipper Liam Cooper certainly applauded the news given the impact that Bielsa has had on the side and the way he’s improved players on an individual basis.

His comment went over incredibly well with the fans, and with talk of a new 1km running track at the training ground, plenty had cracks about a second Bielsa pre-season.

Given all the speculation it’s good to see this one tied up early, now we see what the gaffer has planned for the summer.
