Leeds announce signing of Bayern Munich midfielder.

Leeds United have today announced the signing of Bayern Munich defensive midfielder Marc Roca, as announced by Leeds United Official.

Talks had been progressing well this week and the whites can finally announce that they have secured the services of the 25 year old Spaniard, on a deal that will run until 2026 for an undisclosed fee.

He comes to Elland Road as the third signing since the season ended in may after Brendan Aaronson and Rasmus Kristensen, both from Red Bull Salzburg, had put pen to paper in the last couple of weeks.

Leeds fans will be excited to see the squad taking shape and the club bringing in reinforcements to bolster the playing staff ahead of the season opener against Wolves at Elland Road on 6th August.  Roca comes with a good pedigree and a wealth of experience having played well over 100 times for Espanyol and also played in the Champions League.  His game time at Bayern was limited, as he struggled to break in to a side that had world class players in front of him in the pecking order.

It looks to be a good move for all parties as Leeds get a good player at a great price and Roca will get game time.  Minutes on the pitch will be crucial to Roca with the world cup selections being deliberated for the upcoming tournament.

It looks as though he was a priority target for Jesse Marsch, with the midfield looking thin.  Roca seems to be a good fit for the system and after a week or so of negotiations Leeds can finally announce they have secured another signature.
