For many of us, Abel Hernandez has seemed a dead deal for some time but, despite that, he’s not joined a new club so far.
Earlier this summer we were heavily linked with the player and when he was released by Hull City it was beginning to look as though we’d get him in.
Since, of course, other clubs seem to have had a better chance to get him but as yet he’s not put pen to paper and I think there’s a serious chance that we shouldn’t give up on him just yet.
Yes, his wages seem to be high and I might be clutching at straws but he’s not committed to any deal just yet and his latest cryptic tweet could just be aimed at us given how frustrated we’ve been this summer:

I know, we’re potentially making a mountain out of a molehill here but that’s how this window has got us.
And, honestly, if he is still available it does suggest he is potentially waiting for us to make him an offer.
