According to the Sporting Life Transfer Deadline Day blog (11:56), Middlesbrough are to beat Leeds United to the loan signing of Mo Besic.
The midfielder is a real tenacious presence in the middle of the park and when I saw that he was linked first of all I thought that he’d be an excellent arrival.
Certainly, he did well last season in the Championship but it looks as though he is going to link up with Middlesbrough once more as they too aim for promotion.
Boro have got a bit of cash to spend after Adama Traore signed for Wolves and that can help them get loan deals over the line aswell.
With Everton evidently open to letting him go, this looks a foregone conclusion, and we’re going to have to look elsewhere for a new midfielder.
Certainly, we could do with another option in the middle of the park this season.
