According to Football Insider, the Whites have had a loan bid for David Stockdale rejected.

This might come as a bit of a surprise too.

Leeds are evidently keen on the player and, crucially, he is keen on a move himself after being told that he can leave by current club Birmingham City.

Certainly, then, there are plenty of factors in favour of this move going through but it looks as though some more negotiating is needed before he turns up at the club.

A Leeds native, though, you’d have thought that he’d be pushing to get something going sooner rather than later.

The Verdict

I’d be happy with this signing.

Angus Gunn would have been my preferred choice but it would seem to me that that ship is starting to set sail.

Stockdale, meanwhile, is experienced and proven at this level so if we can get him to come in I’d be more than fine.
