Leeds United ended the season with another disappointing Elland Road defeat to write themselves into the clubs record books.

The defeat was their eleventh of the season, the first time in the clubs history that they had lost eleven games at home in a season.

The afternoon summed up Leeds season. Early chances wasted before conceding following some defensive nightmares, get back into the game and then lost to a soft goal.

Leeds started brightly, Robert Snodgrass twice, Luciano Becchio and Adam Clayton all went close to opening the scoring.

Leicester took the lead close to half time when Michael Brown sliced his clearance back towards his own goal, Danny Pugh made a right pigs-ear of his clearance, which allowed Martyn Waghorn to turn Alex Bruce inside out and beat Andy Lonergan.

The second half was a dour affair before livening up inside the final ten minutes. Good work from Snodgrass led to the equaliser. Danny Webber scoring from close range with an effort that even he could not miss.

Leeds looked for a winner and both Ross McCormack and Clayton got in behind the Leicester defence but failed to produce a killer ball.

Deep into stoppage time, Leicester got their winner when a Ben Marshall`s shot took a huge deflection off teammate Harry Panayiotou to win the game for the visitors.

Leeds manager Neil Warnock has promised a huge clear out in the summer and it cannot come soon enough after a hugely disappointing season that has seen Leeds finish in fourteenth place.
