Leeds United lost for the first time in eight games as they went down 1-0 at home to Birmingham City.

It was also the first time Leeds have failed to score this season.

Leroy Lita scored the only goal of the game with fifteen minutes remaining when he beat Paddy Kenny from long-range.

Curtis Davies had a good chance to open the scoring for the visitors early in the game but he failed to find the target whilst Leeds best chance of a mediocre first half was a long-range effort from Rodolph Austin that Jack Butland managed to keep out.

The second half also offered little clear-cut chances, El Hadji Diouf having the best effort for Leeds when Butland kept out his header.

Birmingham could have sealed the game after Lita`s opening goal when Marlon King saw his effort come back off the woodwork.

A disappointing defeat for Leeds, which leaves Leeds in eleventh place in the table.
