Leeds Reportedly Close To Securing Loan Deal As Player Requests Move

|

Not long until the 11pm deadline for transfer window dealings and Leeds United continue to be heavily linked with Swansea City winger Daniel James.

With claim and counterclaim in the last week over the possible deal, few really seem to know what is going on other than we have an interest – to varying degrees – in the 21-year-old.

A short time ago this afternoon the BBC were reporting that they believed a deal was now close, and James would come into Elland Road on an initial loan worth around £2million.

It’s expected a buy clause for the summer is in place and that would be worth in excess of £10million including future add ons. With the BBC claiming that the Welsh international has told Swansea he wants to leave, they are keeping the door open for a possible return should Leeds not win promotion to the Premier League this year.

It’s not a buy obligation so depending on how things stand in the summer all parties can reassess if necessary.

Seems a bit convoluted but if that’s the way of getting it over the line, so be it.
