Turkish Super Lig side Denizlispor have confirmed the signing of Leeds winger Hadi Sacko on a two-year deal.

The 25-year-old has been regularly linked with the recently-promoted Turkish top-flight side this summer, following a half-season loan spell with MKE Ankaragucu where he scored three goals in 15 appearances.

Negotiations between United and Denizlispor were thought to have stalled last week, as Horozlar were not able to reach the substantial figure the Whites were believed to be demanding. However, there was a breakthrough in negotiations over the past few days after Sacko met with Leeds executives to discuss his exit, having already come close to agreeing personal terms with Denizlispor.

According to Denizli Yeni Olay, Sacko’s meeting with Whites chiefs saw the 6ft winger thrash out his desires to leave Elland Road a year before his contract was due to expire, and the feeling coming out of West Yorkshire shortly after was that a deal was near to completion.

The local news site to Denizlispor added that Leeds had only upped their asking price for the forward after Sacko’s former loan side Ankaragucu showed an interest in striking a permanent deal.

Denizlispor have not stated what fee they have paid for Sacko’s services, although Istanbul news agency Daily Sabah have suggested the 3-cap Mali international’s move to the Denizli Ataturk Stadium was as a free agent.

During his three years with United after joining from Sporting CP on an initial loan deal in 2016, Sacko made 60 appearances and was involved in seven goals (scoring three, assisting four), but failed to add to his 3,129 minutes of action with the Whites since March 2018.
