Leeds are pushing to offload academy product Tom Pearce this summer, according to Football League World.

A source close to United is claimed to have told Football League World that the Whites are hopeful Pearce will leave Elland Road on loan this summer, as he has so far struggled to force his way into Marcelo Bielsa’s plans.

The 21-year-old made just two outings for Leeds in the Championship last season, before the boss opened the door for Pearce to join Scunthorpe on loan, where he failed to make a significant impact under Stuart McCall or temporary head coach Andy Dawson.

Greek Super League outfit Aris Thessaloniki are reportedly interested in making a deal for Pearce to join their squad for next season, as they are preparing for the Europa League, and United would like Pearce to consider the move.

Acquiring a new left-back is seen as a priority for the Kleanthis Vikeldis Stadium natives, as manager Savvas Pantelidis considers the position to be one of the weaker aspects of his squad.

The Greek side are expected to reach out to Pearce soon, but the Whites product is so far not thought to be keen on a temporary move to the God of War. Instead, the sought-after 21-year-old plans on weighing up his options once everything becomes clearer to him, and only then will he accept one of the loan proposals on the table.
