According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, the Whites are not planning on selling Kemar Roofe this summer as things stand.

The likes of Blackburn Rovers have been linked with the forward but as things are at the moment we do not plan on letting him go.

Roofe does seem to divide opinion among the fan-base and it is up for debate as to whether he’ll be a regular under Marcelo Bielsa this coming campaign.

At the moment, though, it looks like he’ll be given the chance to at least prove himself under the Argentinian.

The Verdict

Personally, I like Roofe and just think if he could add some consistency he’d become a top Championship player.

He was one of our best players in front of goal last season – not that that says much – and so I don’t think we should give up on him just yet.

Certainly, that looks to be the way the club is thinking right now.

What do you think? Let me know!

  • Is in the top few last season. Must be kept. Centre back is what is needed.
What’s wrong with Trent Sainsbury of Australia. Composed ball playing defender.
Just what Pontus needs next to him.
