Leeds on verge of securing major addition to help promotion push

|

Leeds United have performed well under the guidance of Marcelo Bielsa this season but there is still work to be done, with the Peacocks looking to ensure they achieve their goal of returning to the Premier League.

One area that has been identified as need additional reinforcements is between the sticks, where Bailey Peacock-Farrell currently stands as the only senior option within the squad – but that is soon to change.

Sky Sports reports that Real Madrid goalkeeper Kiko Casilla is set to have a medical with the Championship leaders on Wednesday, with the 32-year-old edging ever closer to moving to English football.

The Champions League winner has fallen down the pecking order this season behind Thibaut Courtois and Keylor Navas, leaving him open to offers, and Leeds look set to secure what would be a remarkable coup.

Capped once by Spain, Casilla’s experience will be vital to the promotion push and it is certainly something to keep an eye on.
