Leeds United have announced that former club captain Kevin Nicholls has agreed a move to Preston North End “in principle” subject to league approval of the clubs takeover proceedings.

Having joined Leeds from Luton, Nicholls made 15 appearances for Leeds, however fell out of favour with boss Dennis Wise having announced his wish to rejoin old club Luton. Nicholls was stripped of the captaincy and did not make another appearance for The Whites.

Following Luton`s relegation, along with Leeds into League One it now appears that Kevin isn`t quite as keen to move back to The Hatters.
