Leeds United stuck with the same eleven that won in impressive fashion at Bristol Rovers on Tuesday night for today`s encounter with Yeovil Town.

Yeovil had the first chance of the afternoon but Obika`s shot was straight at Ankergren in the Leeds goal.

In a very tight first, half of the first half Leeds had still yet to muster a clear cut chance.

Terry Skiverton, the Yeovil manager said his side would not be defensive and they were true to their word when Alcock had a good chance but his header went across the face of the goal.

Robert Snodgrass had a chance for Leeds but dragged his shot wide of the post.

Obika was causing Leeds problems and he had claims for a penalty turned down when it looked like he`d been fouled in the box.

Johnson had a good chance form a free kick just outside the area but his shot was straight at the keeper.

Leeds took the Lead shortly before half time against the run of play when Johnson`s cross went straight in with Beckford trying to get a touch on the ball, which put the keeper off.

The half time whistle went shortly afterwards with the home side relieved to be going in 1-0 up at half time.

Leeds started the second half more brightly and Vokes had their first chance of the half but his effort was straight at the keeper.

Yeovil still threatened and only a last ditch tackle from Naylor stopped Caulker getting a shot on goal.

Simon Grayson was obviously unhappy with what he was seeing and made a double substitution just short of the hour mark, Max Gradel and Neil Kilkenny replacing Andy Hughes and Mike Doyle.

Gradel was once again making a difference and his cross found Beckford who could have doubled Leeds lead, McCarthy had to dive at full stretch to keep his effort out.

Howson was next to go close, his effort was pushed around the post by McCarthy.

Gradel did double the lead for Leeds when his left foot shot found the back of the net with just over twenty minutes remaining.

Leeds were now looking comfortable and Snodgrass was next to go close but shot straight at McCarthy.

Leeds made it three when Beckford did get a goal, a mistake at the back by Forbes allowed the hit man through on goal and he made no mistake to score his eleventh of the season.

Tresor Kandol who had only been on the pitch for a few minutes, made it four when he got his head to a cross from Snodgrass to score his second goal of the week when coming off the bench.

Snodgrass almost made it five but his header was straight at the keeper.

Leeds once again produced a powerful second half to get four for the second time this week.

With results around the country going their way Leeds have a seven point cushion at the top of the table on the last day of October.
