Saturday’s Championship clash at Elland Road saw Leeds United take a 2-1 victory over Queens Park Rangers.
It was a mixed performance but Kemar Roofe secured his brace on the day as the referee awarded Leeds their first penalty in over 50 games as QPR defender Toni Leistner was called for what looked an obvious handball.
It was the fourth straight win for manager Marcelo Bielsa following our more recent wobbles and one man who came out of the game with great credit was youngster Aapo Halme.
The 20-year-old made his third appearance for the club following his £500,000 arrival from HJK Helsinki last January, and although he only got nine odd minutes as Samu Saiz’s replacement, plenty of fans on social media picked his efforts out for praise.
He should start imo!

Crikey – just how big is Aapo Halme! He marshalled Matt Smith really well at the end. Looks decent! #lufc

I like the look of Halme….good to see him win more than a few headers against Smith. You do have to say that Bielsa's in game management is phenomenal #lufc

Halme was magnificent when he went on too, deserves a mention???????? #LUFC

With the current injury situation at the club once more, he should get plenty of game time between now and the end of the season but you need to treat youngsters with kid gloves as they will make mistakes as they continue to learn.
It should’ve been a nice boost for him once again though.
