As quoted by the Yorkshire Evening Post, Mateusz Klich is confident that Leeds are the team to beat in the play-offs this season.
The Polish midfielder has had an excellent campaign in the middle of the park and has silenced many of his critics.
Certainly, he would well look at home in the Premier League if the chance came around for him, but we have to go via the play-offs to achieve that now.
Accordingly, though, he seems rather confident that we can achieve exactly that this season.
He said of Aston Villa first of all:
“They’ve got very good players. We beat them away and we were the better team but it’s a final, it’s one game, and we have a semi-final to play first.”
Before saying he is confident we’ll do it:
“There’s a long way to go but I hope we can do it and if we play like this then I’m very convinced we can.”
Certainly, confidence is no bad thing and Klich does make a good point.
We’ve beaten all the sides set to be in the play-offs this year and so being bullish is fair enough, let’s hope we back it up with action, though.
