Having fallen to a 2-1 defeat to Blackburn Rovers in Saturday’s Championship action, plenty of Leeds United fans were happy to heap the praise on goalscorer Mats Klich.

With few positives coming from a below-par performance, whilst I won’t get carried away with the second defeat of the year under manager Marcelo Bielsa, Klich’s first-half strike bringing us back on level terms was at least some kind of high point as his own form continues with some consistency.

With few positives to go around on the day, I think the Polish international’s efforts at Ewood Park last weekend were more than worthy of the praise he came in for.

Not how anyone wanted to welcome back proper football after the lull given the October international break, but with players come back to fitness, and coming back into contention, when they are properly back up to speed and have regained their sharpness, hopefully, our recent Achilles heel of not being clinical enough in games will again turn in our favour and then our form will quickly improve.
