The international break is over and that is certainly something we all love to say and write.

Indeed, this season, in particular, we are itching for each break to be over so we can get back to watching the Whites under Marcelo Bielsa.

Next up, then, is Blackburn this weekend and it seems as though the Rovers are doing well in the Championship so it will be a tough game.

However, if the Whites step up they should win the match and Liam Cooper is eyeing the three points.

Via the Whites’ Twitter account, he has said this:

And, during the full piece on the website, he’s said that it’s time to raise our performances after a couple of results that really should have been wins instead of draws:

“I think we’ve performed well in 70-80 per cent of the games, but we can always improve, as I said we didn’t get enough points previously and we will be looking to put that right in the period until the next international break.”

Cooper has grown into his role as a skipper this year and so hopefully the rest of the side will echo his words and produce the goods.
