The YEP has referred to the fact that he was linked with Leeds over the summer in light of this, too, but it looks as though we’re going to miss out on him.
A tricky winger, he could have perhaps added some class and guile to our side but I don’t think it is a massive miss that we are not getting him.
Under Marcelo Bielsa he could have become a good player, of course, but there is no guarantee and it might be for the best we’re not chasing him.
Indeed, with two Belgian sides going after him that perhaps suggests that he’s not a player we desperately need with all due respect and it remains to be seen if he moves there and does well.
