Manchester City youngster Jack Harrison has come in for some criticism for his showings so far at Leeds United.
It’s inevitable the boy will have consistency issues and ultimately that’s why he’s come out on loan as it’s a learning curve for the 21-year-old, but after taking those criticism previously on social media and elsewhere, Harrison showed what his potential was really worth in Friday’s scoreless draw with Middlesbrough as he was certainly one of the high points and positives that fans could take from the game.
Stepping up to start the game with Pablo Hernandez ruled out with injury, the England youth international’s effort on the night certainly helped him win these fans over as he put in a far better showing.
I'm liking Harrison tonight. Really earned his place in the team #lufc

@Harrison_Jack11 looks like a decent signing for us, just needs a few more balls playing to him #lufc #leeds #mot

Been impressed with Harrison. Played a few intelligent passes and has done the simple things well #lufc

Harrison has looked impressive so far, if Saiz and Alioski sharpen up I think we can break Boro down #LUFC

3/ Alioski's been so crap on the ball again. Him and Douglas hardly combine at all. Both at fault.
4/ We're not playing to feet much. Phillips has played some good long balls but Cooper is just hoofing ball. Klich marked out of the game, Samu missing Pablo an awful lot. #lufc— ETHAN (Pablo Hernandez Fan Account) (@EthanFromOnline) August 31, 2018
Showing that quality is Harrison

It’s still going to be up and down for the lad, and he’s going to burn bright and then look non-league quality, it’s just the nature of the beast as he gets to grip with football at a senior level. What matters for us come the end of the season is simply has he impressed more than he didn’t and as the week’s tick by has he got himself on an upward curve as he grapples with consistency.
I think we’re going to be impressed come the end of the campaign as I think the lad has got it.
