Leeds-linked £2.25m-rated ace admits speculation is ‘uncomfortable’, but open to move – report

Sasa Kalajdzic is a man in high demand as we near the start of the international transfer market, but the Admira Wacker striker has conceded in an interview with Welt Fussball that speculation over his future has made him feel somewhat uncomfortable.

It is thought that, along with Leeds United, FC Koln, Union Berlin and VfB Stuttgart are all keen to sign the £2.25million-rated 21-year-old this summer, after he struck eight goals in 15 Austrian Bundesliga encounters during the 2018/19 term.

It was by far the Austria U21 international’s best senior campaign of his fledgeling career in front of goal, after making the step up from Admira Wacker’s youth side last season to pen 20 appearances in all competitions, but only return four goals during his 1047 minutes of action, albeit also laying on seven assists which declined in the recent term to five.

Kalajdzic will now be hoping to continue his career’s upward trajectory if he does move home in the summer, but reading speculation regarding his future is something he is still coming to terms with.

“To be honest, I find it somewhat amusing when you read such a thing in the media everywhere,” he said. “It’s just a bit uncomfortable when all the people ask you about it.

“According to the media, it can be expected that I will go abroad. I do not exclude anything.

“I have to realise that I can get my assignment times, I can make the best development step there, everything has to fit. We’ll see if that will happen.”

Kalajdzic’s interview with Welt Fussball was carried out a day after Serbian superstar Luka Jovic was presented as a Galactico at Real Madrid, having taken the Bundesliga by storm on loan with Eintracht Frankfurt. Now, the Leeds-linked forward intends to use the 21-year-old’s success for his own inspiration.

“If you see what he has achieved in the age I am in now, how he tore up the German Bundesliga, then you can take him as a good role model,” Kalajdzic added.
