Leeds United managed to throw away a one-goal lead at Derby County on Tuesday night and allow those chasing them for the final play off place to close the gap.

Leeds looked to be heading for all three points when Max Gradel fired them ahead with a sweetly struck shot from the edge of the area, just short of the hour.

Within five minutes, it had all gone terribly wrong for Leeds when first, Jamie Ward tapped in from close range and then a great strike from Ben Davies turned the game on its head.

Leeds remain in sixth place in the Championship despite the defeat but Nottingham Forest have cut the gap to just one point after beating Burnley 2-0 at home.
