The grandson of legendary Leeds United player John Charles has been sentenced to 6 weeks imprisonment for a number of offences regarding football hooliganism.

Christopher John Charles, grandson of the late John Charles’ first marriage pleaded guilty to criminal damage, pitch invasion and breaching a three-year banning order at Leeds magistrates’ court on the 19th December and will now be imprisoned. He is also now banned from attending Leeds United and England matches for 6 years and is not allowed within a mile of Elland Road before and after matches.

Charles was identified following photographs released of the pitch invasion that marred Leeds’ 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town last season, an event that the Elland Road club were lucky to get away with relatively unpunished. The hooligan was spotted attempting to pull a goal down, and giving the V’s to a director’s box that just so happens to be located in the stand named after his Grandfather.

If you ask me, 6 weeks isn’t long enough for such a disgraceful little man.
