Former Leeds United manager Jimmy Armfield is undergoing treatment for throat cancer. Armfield, who led the club to a European Cup final in 1975 told the BBC:

The prognosis is good, although I’m suffering from the side effects of the chemo and I’m not able to work. Generally, I’m very positive about the future.’

1-year old Jimmy spent his entire career at just the one club, spending his entire playing time at Blackpool.

ital Leeds wishes Jimmy Armfield all the best for him, and his family that will no doubt be supporting him and we all I’m sure wish him a speedy recovery.
