Leeds United, like many other top clubs, have got years of history and a number of legends who they laud for their services to the football club. One of those legends is the sublime Johnny Giles, as the Irish midfielder has been commemorated by the club on his birthday.

Now 79-years-old, Leeds’ have taken to Twitter to wish their former midfielder a happy birthday, which is fitting considering he made 527 appearances for the famous Yorkshire club, bagging 115 goals in the process.
In the current crop of Leeds players, there isn’t anyone who can match the ability or trophy haul that Giles did, although the supporters would be overawed if they did. Instead, they’ve been taking to Twitter themselves to laud the former favourite.
Will Leeds be in the Premier League next season?
