It`s the start of the road to League One glory for Leeds United on Friday evening as they travel to KitKat Crescent to face York City.

Gary McAllister is set to give debuts to the two summer signings so far, former Swansea City midfielder Andy Robinson, and ex-Bristol striker Enoch Showunmi will likely start against the Blue Square Premier league side. McAllister has hinted at using 22 players over the course of the match, a practice fairly common in pre-season preparations:

“The aim against York is about getting up to speed,’ he told leedsunited.com.

“As much as it’s our first game, there’ll be a lot of substitutions and we’ll probably be using two teams on the night. Everyone has come through the first week unscathed and is travelling and will play a part.’
“When that first whistle goes people will be competitive.”
“We have to be ready for that. As much as I want players to avoid injury I want them to be competitive.”
There`s still time to see Leeds in action at the KitKat dome, as away fans will be able to purchase tickets on the night. If you aren`t going to the game, why not pop into the Vital Leeds forums to keep right up-to-date with the goings on at York`s biscuit base.
