With the managerial vacancy successfully filled at Elland Road, with the Argentine Marcelo Bielsa jumping into the hot-seat, we’re now anxiously waiting to see who the new boss can add to the playing staff.

According to the news source, the Football League World, Leeds could be set to take on board a couple of Tottenham Hotspur youngsters.

The duo in question are Cameron Carter-Vickers and Juan Foyth.

Carter-Vickers, 20-years-of-age, is a centre-half who has Championship experience after going out on loan to two clubs last season. In the first half of last season, he made 18 appearances for our Yorkshire rivals, Sheffield United, before then joining Ipswich Town where he made 17 appearances.

With his route to the Tottenham first-team blocked, the American international is tipped to be loaned out again.

Foyth, also 20-years-of-age is also a centre-back who arrived at Tottenham Hotspur from the Argentine club Estudiantes. Last season he made just 8 appearances for Tottenham and may also benefit from a season out on loan.

Our view, here at Vital Leeds United, is that acquiring the duo would be beneficial and would add depth to the squad. Although young, both are viewed by Tottenham Hotspur as players for the future. Carter-Vickers has a season of Championship experience and knows what’s needed to make progress in this tough league. Foyth, has tasted life in the top-flight and would be keen to make an impression. However, if both were to come to Elland Road, you’d have to ponder whether Bielsa would play both at the heart of the Leeds defence, considering their youthfulness.
