Leeds Interested In League One £3million Rated Starlet

|

With Leeds United preparing for this weekend’s Play-Off Semi-Final first leg against Derby County at Pride Park, that doesn’t mean the summer transfer rumour mill has gone quiet and reports this week have suggested that we are taking a keen interest in Coventry City starlet Tom Bayliss.

It’s been another difficult season for the Sky Blues when it comes to off pitch stadium issues, but on the pitch they’ve had a good year, finishing in eighth place in the League One table. One of the keys to that has been Academy graduate Bayliss who has appeared in their midfield 41 times in the campaign of 2018/19 and his determination and energy has caught quite a few eyes it seems.

With three goals returned across the season, The Mirror (print last Sunday) claimed that Leeds had been spying on him this year ahead of a potential deal over the summer. With Coventry’s more recent record of helping to produce talented youngsters, Bayliss has now fallen into that category and there’s a suggestion he’d be available for only £3million given his release fee.

There’s no suggestion that we’ve actually put an offer in, it’s just believed that we are keeping tabs on him, but we’ll find out over the summer.
