Leeds United were involved in their first goalless draw of the season as they failed to find a way through a resolute and well-organised Queens Park Rangers defence.

Leeds welcomed the Championships leading goalscorer Chris Wood into the side after he missed the draw at Fulham in midweek, but the striker never had a chance as Ian Holloway`s side nullified Leeds as an attacking threat.

The visitors quite easily could of left with all three points with Connor Washington having a number of good opportunities to score.

Washington just failed to get on the end of a cross in the opening ten minutes and he then forced Rob Green into a good save after he had got in behind the Leeds defence.

The closest Leeds came in the first half was just before the break when Kemar Roofe saw his shot blocked.

It was a similar story at the start of the second half with Washington wasting another good chance when he fired wide.

A flurry of substitutions from Leeds in the final half hour saw the home side increase their intensity but they never troubled Alex Smithies in the Rangers goal, who had a quiet afternoon at Elland Road.
