Leeds handed fresh boost in pursuit of Liverpool winger – report

|

Leeds United and Liverpool seem to be locked in a never-ending embrace this summer.

They’ve been linked to three of Liverpool’s promising wingers. Harry Wilson who spent last year on loan at Derby, Ovie Ejaria who spent the latter part of last year at Reading and last but not least Ryan Kent. Whilst they have been rebuffed on approaches for the former and the latter, the latest news from Glasgow could make for some interesting few days ahead.

With yet another Liverpool young winger Sheyi Ojo sealing a loan move to Rangers, could that shut the door on Ryan Kent making a move back north of the border? Kent spent a season on loan in Glasgow last year and was a huge success contributing six goals and ten assists in all competitions.

However, could this merely be seen as another chance for Ryan Kent to progress his career? It’s been suggested that the Championship is a better league than the Scottish Premiership, so a move like this would be like taking a step up from League One.

And with them signing one Liverpool winger, do they really have room for two? They’ve got a pretty substantial squad as it is. He’d be better off challenging himself in a tougher league and progressing his career.

After a heart-breaking end to the season last year, Bielsa will be doing everything he can and with this latest development, he should double his efforts and go back to Liverpool and try and bring Kent to Elland Road.
