There’s a renewed sense of optimism about the international scene thanks to the World Cup but, even so, I’m looking forward to seeing the Whites back in action.

We play Millwall up next and I think it is time we get one over on them after recent years.

Certainly, they have proven a bogey side but they are not going well at the moment and we are, of course, looking very strong indeed.

In a boost to our chances, too, it looks as though Pablo Hernandez will be in contention to feature for that game with the Lions.

He missed the Middlesbrough match thanks to injury but according to Phil Hay in the Inside Elland Road podcast he is back in training.

Hernandez has been excellent this season already and won the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month award earlier today so, naturally, we’ll be hoping he will play against Millwall.
