Pontus Jansson is a player we all want to see stay at Elland Road this summer and it looks as though that is going to happen as things stand.

The 27-year-old centre-half did not have a good campaign last time around for the club but, let’s be fair, very few of our players actually did.

Even so, he’s certainly a player I’d rather we kept to see how he can do under Bielsa and it looks as though we’ve been given a boost in that regard.

Indeed, according to the Express and Star West Brom are not interested in signing the Swede – contrary to some reports earlier this week.

The Verdict

This is certainly good news where we’re concerned.

We might not have had a good window so far but losing Jansson would have made it far worse when you look at how thin our squad is at the moment.

Hopefully, we’ll start adding soon.
