Kevin Blackwell knows there will be a hostile reception awaiting his Leeds side at Hull but added ‘our away fans are the best and loudest in the league’.

Blackwell: ‘We absolutely annihilated them with some style at Elland Road and that put a few noses out of joint.

‘I have had people over from Hull this week saying ‘this is our biggest game of the season’. Motivation-wise, it means very little will be needed to get the Hull players up for it.

‘This is the biggest game in Yorkshire so far this year and the KC Stadium is going to be a cracking place to be. It is a complete sell-out and that wasn’t the case for Sheffield United’s visit or Sheffield Wednesday’s.

‘But we have dealt with this every week all season long. We have gone to places where it has been totally hostile and it has not affected the players at all.

‘Ours are the best away fans in the country. They are the loudest and I constantly hear in boardrooms from opposition chairmen that ‘your support is phenomenal’.

‘Support us with passion and desire because that is how you can affect it.

‘No one can affect it off the pitch. Fighting means nothing. I want every fan that goes to the game to get home safely.

‘We are a big club. We do not have to go anywhere and beat people up to show how big we are. We have style, stature, history. Other clubs might have to attain that, we have got it.

‘As far as I am concerned let’s go there, enjoy the game and react with the style that Leeds are starting to build.’
