Leeds fans set for anxious afternoon as data analysis predicts Blades encounter

|

Leeds or Sheffield United? Which club will end Saturday in the top two of the Championship and stake their claim to be favourites for automatic promotion, that is the question.

Both sides head into the crunch encounter carrying fine form, with the Whites winning four of our last five at home, while the Blades are unbeaten in their previous nine.

Our guests at Elland Road have, however, only won one of their last five on the road, and have not come from behind to win on their travels since November 27 when Brentford failed to make their sixth-minute goal count.

Scoring first on Saturday could be what it takes to retain our top-two position when the final whistle blows, then, as data analysis company Reach Data Unit are not holding out much hope of a blow-out.

The sports data organisation predict a 32% chance of Chris Wilder’s side scuppering our plans, while Marcelo Bielsa’s men have been given a 39% chance of victory.

With a draw predicted at 29%, the Saturday afternoon encounter, like the title and automatic promotion races, looks set to go down to the wire.
