Leeds United fans have reacted to the news that the club could be ready to make a summer move for former loan defender Kyle Bartley.
Whilst it excites most Leeds fans, many are still sceptical about the reasons for the move and the story coming out in the press today after a disappointing season.
The 26-year-old spent last season on loan at Elland Road, helping the side to their highest finish in the Championship in six years.
The defender returned to parent club Swansea City last summer and he signed a new four-year deal at the Premier League club, tying him to Swansea until the summer of 2021.
Bartley has struggled to gain a regular place in the Swansea side this season despite them struggling at the bottom end of the table. He spent three months on the sidelines with a serious knee injury and he has made just two starts in five Premier League appearances.
Bartley, who made 50 appearances for Leeds, has made just 12 appearances this season and he has made just one Premier League start since his return from injury in January.
Whilst some fans are exciting about the news, others are more sceptical seeing it as another PR stunt or even as a replacement for Pontus Jansson.

Have a sneaking suspicion the whole ‘talking to Bartley’ thing is good press to win a few fans back, whether they go and sign him is a different thing altogether #LUFC

If we’re in for Bartley, Pontus is going to be Very Sold. Seems like they’re trying to cushion the inevitable backlash, which is understandable. #lufc

Strange time Saturday evening to release the news that we are "considering" Bartley or is it because fans are in uprage & Pontus has been threatening to leave at the end of season as it looks as though his head has been turned. Good PR Leeds but we are seeing through it now!
