Leeds are apparently taking a closer look at Jamal Blackman at the moment with the goalkeeper surely free for a move away from Chelsea this summer.

The 24-year-old stopper was at Sheffield United last season, of course, and impressed as they came close to making the top six in the league.

However, they’ve since signed Dean Henderson and now it remains to be seen if we can convince him a stay in West Yorkshire is now worthwhile.

As per the YEP, we’re looking to sort the goalkeeper situation out this week with David Stockdale also linked in recent days but Blackman appears well on our radar right now.

The Verdict

Blackman is a player I really rate and would be pleased with coming in.

He’s better than BPF at the moment and though I want the kid to succeed, I also think we need another option to come in between the sticks to provide competition.

Blackman would be ideal.
