According to the Northern Echo, the Whites are interested in signing Britt Assombalonga this summer with him having a bit of a disagreement with Tony Pulis recently.
Middlesbrough signed the forward last season from Nottingham Forest but he was in and out of the side despite his obvious Championship quality.
He brings great power and goals, of course, and I’d certainly be a fan of him coming in as our new number 9 and leading the line.
Matej Vydra is welcome, too, and if he could play in behind Assombalonga that’d be some strikeforce.
The Verdict
This guy would be a top signing if he remained consistent to the levels we’ve seen him reach before.
He’s got all the ability you need from a number 9 and there’s no reason why he couldn’t play in the Premier League in the future.
Let’s see if we can bring him in and make a real statement.
