According to the Daily Mail, Leeds are looking into signing young goalkeeper Dean Henderson from Manchester United.

Now, of course, after we saw Cameron Borthwick-Jackson’s time at the club I can imagine we’d be a bit reserved over this potential deal but, actually, I think it might be a good one.

Certainly, you can argue that we need an older stopper than him to compete with Bailey Peacock-Farrell but his performances with Shrewsbury last season were certainly impressive.

Their defensive record took them to the play-off final last season in League One and if he could do the same for us that would be more than welcome.

The Verdict

It’s a signing I’d like.

Yes, he has Manchester United links but he is a good young goalkeeper and with him and BPF we’d have two hungry stoppers spurring one another on.

Let’s see if we decide to make a real go of this one in the coming weeks.
