The Sun reckons Jordan Hugill is available on loan this summer and both Leeds United and QPR are going after him.

The striker hit 10 goals in all competitions last season but that is not to say he wouldn’t have got more if he hadn’t joined West Ham last January.

The former Preston man took his chance to play Premier League football but the Hammers evidently didn’t want him and now he is apparently available on a loan deal.

Certainly, he’s a proven Championship forward and one I’d be more than happy to see sign.

The Verdict

The thing here is; we’ve been linked with all these forwards and not actually brought any in.

Matej Vydra, Abel Hernandez, Britt Assombalonga and Hugill would all be great arrivals and yet we’re not acting on any of the links.

It’s a nice sounding transfer, but there’s little point getting excited about it for now.
