Chris Wood scored his 30th goal of the season to earn Leeds United a point in their final game of the 2016/17 season.

Wood scored from the penalty spot early in the second half to cancel out an early first half strike from Ryan Tunnicliffe.

Leeds started the game brightly but they went behind on 6 minutes when Tunnicliffe found space down the Leeds left. Tunniciffe went round Rob Green before cutting inside to slot home into an empty net.

Leeds struggled to get going in the half in what resembled a pre-season friendly played at a sedate pace.

The second half saw Leeds start on the front foot and they levelled just five minutes after the break when Wood sent Matt Gilks the wrong way from the penalty spot after Eunan O’Kane had been brought down in the penalty area.

Kemar Roofe then went close to giving Leeds the lead when his 20-yard shot came back off the crossbar.

Omar Bogle then went agonisingly close for the hosts when he saw his effort go just wide of the post after outmuscling Rob Green.

Stuart Dallas saw his long-range effort well saved by Gilks and Alfonso Pedraza dragged a shot wide late in the game as Leeds finished the game the stronger.
