Leeds Duo Were Scunthorpe Bound?

As a busy Christmas period approaches, Scunthorpe boss Nigel Adkins has focused on days gone by. He’s admitted that the summer transfer window may have seen Leeds lose both Tresor Kandol and Jermaine Beckford.

He also goes on to suggest that Leeds had replacements lined up, however the transfer embargo meant that neither the incoming, nor outgoing deals could be made in time:

‘We were so close to getting them, we missed them only by two or three days.

‘Jermaine was desperate to come back and kept texting me during the summer asking if it was going to happen.

‘We were so close to bringing both him and Kandol here.

‘Leeds had a couple of other players lined-up who they wanted to bring in, but couldn’t because of the problems they were having.’

Is Beckford perhaps not as happy as we all thought to be at Elland Road this season? Would we accept a bid in January that saw someone like Billy Sharp come our way? Have your say now!
