Leeds United have decided against trying to sign Oli McBurnie this summer – according to Sun journalist Alan Nixon.

The Whites have been linked with a number of players this summer and McBurnie was actually one of the first names to start doing the rounds.

Indeed, he was a target of Paul Heckingbottom but things have certainly changed since then and it looks as though Marcelo Bielsa is not as big a fan as Hecky was.

The player hit 9 goals in the Championship last season but, evidently, he won’t be scoring for us next season.

The Verdict

McBurnie is a decent player but I don’t think he is going to be one where we really wished we’d signed him.

I think he’ll have a good career but we can sign even better players this summer and Matej Vydra is certainly one man that fits that bill.

Let’s see what happens.
