Leeds continue to set the pace at the top of League One with another three points at Oldham.

With a fixture pile up over the next month it looked like Simon Grayson had decided to rotate his squad.

Hogan Ephraim made his first start for the club since joining on loan from QPR and Max Gradel and David Prutton got rare starts.

Oldham started the better of the two sides with Colbeck causing problems down the left wing, both Smalley and Furman missed great chances after balls from the winger.

Crowe had Leeds first chance after a great through ball from Kilkenny, Crowe beat the keeper but unfortunately, his shot went wide of the post.

Sam Vokes had a great chance to put Leeds in front but his shot was straight at Flahavan when through on goal.

Leeds took the lead after great work from Max Gradel, his weaving run and cross found Kilkenny who had the simple task of tapping in.

Gradel almost doubled the lead soon after but his shot was saved by Flahavan.

The visitors were pressing hard for a second before half time and Kilkenny went close.

Vokes had a great chance in the first few minutes of the second half but Flahavan once again saved his shot.

Prutton had Leeds next effort but his header cleared the bar.

Vokes had another good chance for Leeds but his shot cleared the bar.

Paul Heffernan reminded Leeds that the game was not safe and his effort hit the side netting.

Simon Grayson made a couple of substitutions inside the final fifteen minutes, and one of them Snodgrass saw a show saved by Flahavan soon after his arrival.

Leeds did double the lead when the other substitute Luciano Becchio scored after good work by Gradel.

Another fine win with a much changed side, Simon Grayson will now be preparing his side for the West Yorkshire derby with Huddersfield Town on Saturday
