A big thank you goes out to Millwall supporters for the damage that they caused to buses that were kindly put on for their safe passage to Elland Road last weekend.

The pre and post match violence led to a number of arrests and significant damage to a number of buses that were transporting Millwall fans between the cities railway station and Elland Road to watch their side lose 4-2 as Leeds United continued their (now discontinued) unbeaten league run.

A representative of First Group told the Yorkshire Evening Post‘The buses were in an appalling condition with glass everywhere. The vehicles will require very careful cleaning to remove the broken glass splinters.

‘We are bringing in contractors to replace the windows. As it stands, First will be paying for their replacement, but we are still waiting to hear if we can get help with paying the bill.’

Perhaps those nice Millwall fans (including the Right Said Fred tribute act that were pictured) could chip in a few quid?
