Leeds United have continued their good start to the season with a 2-0 win at Nottingham Forest.

Kemar Roofe continued his good form with the opening goal for Leeds and they made the game safe in the closing minutes when Ezgjan Alioski doubled the lead when he scored his first goal for the club.

It was another controlled performance by Leeds, who have now gone four games since they last conceded a goal.

Leeds looked comfortable throughout the game with everyone working hard to stop Nottingham Forest finding any kind of rhythm or be able to get a foothold in the game.

Roofe deservedly put Leeds ahead on 24 minutes when he rose to head home after being picked out by Liam Cooper. The goal is a fourth in two games from Roofe who has been pushed up into attack since the departure of Chris Wood.

The home side rarely threatened the Leeds goal and they only had a Matt Mills headed effort that was easy for Leeds keeper Felix Wiedwald.

Leeds were hitting Forest on the break, using the pace of the front free and Alioski, Samu Saiz and substitute Stuart Dallas all went close to extending the lead.

Alioski made the game safe with just three minutes remaining and the goal typified the performance of the side.

Kalvin Phillips made sure he won the ball in midfield with a crunching tackle and he fed Alioski who fired home from the edge of the area.

Leeds had chances to score a third in the closing minutes with Dallas and Saiz both failing to hit the target.

It was another professional performance from Leeds, who won every battle on the pitch.
