Earlier today it was being reported that Marcelo Bielsa has targeted Brentford winger Florian Jozefzoon as a man to improve our first-team group ahead of the coming 2018/19 Championship campaign.
Leeds United weigh up firm bid for Florian Jozefzoon with Brentford set to sell the winger:https://t.co/i80TLgR19w

The Yorkshire Evening Post reported the speculation and the suggestion was that with Brentford apparently confirming that they had accepted a bid from an unnamed club, Bielsa was now weighing up whether or not to get himself involved and try and battle for the 27-year-old.
We are believed to have enquired about him previously but not followed that interest up.
Having come through the Ajax Academy set up, making four appearances for them, he counts NAC Breda, RKC Waalwijk and PSV Eindhoven as previous clubs in the Dutch Eredivisie divisions. He arrived in England, moving to Brentford, back in late January 2017 for an undisclosed fee and he has 37 Championship starting appearances to his name with an overall record of 62 appearances including substitute showings across all competitions. He also returned eight league goals.
Feels like we might be a bit late to the party on this one but it’s fair to say a few fans doubt this piece of speculation on that basis. For others, it’s simply a testament to our overall transfer approach this summer.
Where does he say that?

"Bielsa believed to be… " is key here. Means nothing.

So we weigh up a bid after someone else has a bid accepted? Why aren’t we doing this first instead of waiting for someone else to make the first move?

What’s to weigh up if we want him match the bid this club ????♂️

3 weeks too late as usual.
Management ONLY SAYING THIS as they know he's going else where. Same old chit
Oh we tried to sign him but he wanted too much money
We need decent players not the medicore chit we have already.

I think Bielsa prefers players comfortable on the ball so I believe ir hope it will be a fullback who can play on the left or right of the back 3. An example is George friend who is tall for a fullback but also comfortable on the ball .

I’d say cooper is comfortable on the ball but he is guilty of switching off and making rash challenges

Agreed. Just seems to lose his positioning and then dives in to try and repair the damage. Doesn’t deserve the flack he gets tho
