According to the Daily Mail, the Whites are battling Aston Villa for Millwall midfielder George Saville.

The transfer window has been a bit of a drawn-out one for us with us leaving it late to bring in many new faces.

We seem to be getting there now, though, and a couple more before the deadline on Thursday would see us finish the market with a decent enough squad.

Saville would surely be a welcome addition, then, with him bringing a box-to-box quality we’ve got a bit short on in recent days.

Ronaldo Vieira has left the club, of course, and Adam Forshaw is injured for a few weeks at least and so we need a new central player.

The Lions’ man is capable of scoring goals and getting his foot in going the other way, too, and at 25-years-old he is about to get into his best years.

Certainly, he’d be a decent arrival.
